Engineering
Industrial Engineeris a professional that will have to plan, to analyze and to interpret, to design, to implement, to evaluate, to investigate and to undertake the possible solutions to necessities that are presented in the respective workspace. The Industrial Engineer has the capacity to work and to lead highly productive teams to take charge projects of continuous improvement in their organizations and with English's handling as a second language.ü Design and development of products ü Production ü Quality ü Logistics ü Industrial processesThis way, the industrial engineer is not mechanical, electric neither chemical, but the person in charge of the control and the optimization of the productive processes, work that don't usually do the other specialties. Day after day, the field of the industrial engineer's activity is defined, and for the versatility that should have in its profession, in the sense of being able to understand the language of all the other specialties.
Why recommend engineering as a career to study?
I recommend engineering because it is one of the most versatile careers exist, a large number of possibilities to choose from. Engineers should recognize that life, safety, health and welfare of the population depend on his trial. Commit to improve the environment. They must create professional reputation on the merit of their services. Use your ingenuity to solve problems. Being aware of their responsibility in their work.In order through engineering can apply knowledge and experience so that through drawings, models and techniques are resolved problems affecting living things with creativity and ingenuity.
Skills you need to be a good engineer..!!!!!
Every professional has skills that stand out from what else; I think that any good industrial engineer should know:ü Design.ü Redesign.ü Specify.ü Mount and managing production systems.ü Assess hygienic conditions.ü Security or implementation and enhancement of integrated systems.ü Devise preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities of any company.ü Provide counseling and consultancy services to companiesü Human Resources Administrationü Industrial Maintenanceü Quality Control. ISO 9000 14000ü Management Technologyü Research and Developmentü Managementü Financeü Research and operations. All these skills have to compete and excel in the labor market.
Things that I enjoy most in college
What I like most of my life in college is that:
- Every day you learn new things, o learn there is not borders.
- Share with friends.
- You know more people and do new friends.
- It has a lot more freedom than in the earlier stages, is not subject to simple and archaic rules of the schools.
- You overcome yourself intellectually and propose new goals and challenges.
- One doesn't have to use uniform as in the school and q you can dress any way you like.
Undoubtedly this stage of the college is the best so far. I enjoy almost all the time I am there, except the classes of development of systems, always hate logic. Well at least I have all ready go thru that.Life goes on.
Rewarding time studying engineering
My most rewarding moments was the day to complete my systems development project, I attempted much. First the knowledge of the previous matters didn't help me in the process to make the project, so for my bill I had to learn how to use the program “visual fox pro.” Little by little, day by day, moving little more, fixing bugs and adding new ideas, my teacher who incidentally is the worst that I have in college, it does not help at all. While the note that I got was not the one that waited, having finished the project it was very rewarding and without a doubt it was one of the best experiences.
Influences of industrial engineering
At the beginning of the career, I admit that industrial engineering was not exactly what wanted to study, I always wanted to study something related with the art, something like graphic design, I have always liked to draw and to take pictures. But as I have gone advancing in the career I have been felling interested for it, laboratory practices were very influential to continue in the career, could not avoid the interest in certain practices such as welding, moulding and robotics, well materials processes such as manufacturing, power generation, computerized drawing.I guess this is because I like more field work to the desktop, so I hope to grow in this area and that little by little this career is made more interesting, in fact it is doing…
Plans for the future?
First I want to finish my career, after that what remains for me is to complete my dreams one by one because for this is that I have gone through college. To reward to my family everything they can, and try to fulfill their dreams as well. I want to buy a house and travel extensively in the world, there are many places that I have in mind, Japan would be the first place I think that is really interesting that one day visit.
The most difficult to be a student of engineering
In what I take of career it but difficult it has been without a doubt some classes like termofluido, logic, development of system 1 and 2, and the rapid pace that takes. Sometimes the activities are accumulated and the tests come very quickly, the classes are increasingly difficult and demanding. And some teachers do not help much to the cause but I try to give my best effort just that sometimes is not enough. But little by little you get used to and it becomes more normal.
My work options after graduating
I would like to work in an automobile company, as FORD or an electronic company as SONY, it is one of my dreams.I would take a position as manager of operations, or to be in the area of security and hygiene, to also work in plant serious a great experience, I think a lot about this about my work options. Working outside the country is another of the very thing that I have in mind, can be seen clearly when I say that I want to work in companies like Sony. I know that with effort and dedication it will.
Educational process required to become an Engineer
All industrial engineer must have high knowledge in subjects such as mathematics, physics, mechanics, health, safety, environment, cost, quality and productivity, production management, quality control and projects to name just a few, as well as being able to design, redesign, specify, mount and manage production systems in order to create production companies for goods or services, evaluate the health, safety or implementation and enhancement of integrated systems.
